Application Process

How to Apply at LPS

A fingerprint background check through the FBI will be required of every new employee. To view the Noncriminal Justice Applicant's Privacy Rights click on the link.

STEP 1
Applicant files must be complete before a screening interview will be arranged. A completed file consists of:

A. A completed online application. Click here to view available positions and start the application process.
B. Uploaded resume, cover letter, and copy of transcripts.
C. Reference letters can also be uploaded.

**Please do not mail copies of your resume, cover letter, transcripts, certificate, or any college credential files.**

STEP 2
After your application has been submitted you will receive an email with a link to complete an online interview.

STEP 3
Candidates selected for face-to-face interviews will be contacted by Human Resources or a building administrator.

STEP 4
The names of candidates recommended for employment will be placed before the Board of Education for final approval. Please do not hesitate to contact us at (816) 736-5300 with any questions or concerns.


All teachers in the Liberty Public School District are required to be certified teachers by the State of Missouri. Information regarding certification may be obtained from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education at (573) 751-0051.
