How many students currently attend Liberty Public Schools?
Our student population for the current school year 2011-2012 is approximately 10,950.
How many students did we enroll this year?
Our Welcome Center enrolled over 650 new students in the fall of 2011.
How will I be notified after I have enrolled my child?
The child’s school will contact you once they receive the paperwork and transcripts from the previous school district.
How and when do I contact Transportation?
You will need to wait 24 to 48 hours after enrolling your child to contact the Transportation Department at 816.736.5360.
Available Aug 1, 2011 you can now check your child's transportation information online. Visit our district website: www.liberty.k12.mo.us and go to the "parents" tab; scroll down to "Transportation Parent Portal"; type in your address.
How do I contact Kid’s Zone?
Kid’s Zone is before and afterschool childcare and is offered at all the elementary buildings. Please contact their office at 816.736.5378 for enrollment information.
How do I sign up for school lunches?
Once your child is enrolled your child is eligible for school lunches. Our district offers a variety of lunches each school day. To view the menu go to www.liberty.k12.mo.us.
How can I volunteer at my child’s school?
There are many ways to volunteer at your child’s school. YouthFriends, PTA and classroom volunteering are just a few ways to volunteer.
How do I sign up for Summer School?
Beginning February 21, 2012 you may enroll your child in summer school. All summer enrollment is done online at www.liberty.k12.mo.us. (If you would like transportation/bus services for summer school, your child must be enrolled by April 20, 2012.)
How do we find out what the start and end times of school?
School hours do vary from elementary to high school. Visit our district website at www.liberty.k12.mo.us and go to the Parent tab to locate the school times and calendar.
