November 8 Election Information
On Monday, August 22, 2011, the Liberty Public Schools Board of Education voted to place a 43-cent tax levy issue on the November 8, 2011, ballot. Funds generated from this levy increase would allow for construction in LPS to meet the demands of current and projected growth.
The 43-cent levy increase would provide $41 million in funding for construction. Allocation of these funds would be as follows:
•Elementary School #11 ($14.3 million)
•Phase III construction at Liberty North High School ($18.5 million)
•Classroom space at Liberty High School ($4 million)
•Construction of All-Purpose District Stadium at Liberty High School ($4.2 million)
