College Credit

Many of the courses offered through Project Lead the Way give the students the option of applying for dual credit for college at the end of the year. This dual credit gives students the ability to get college credit for the college level course they took throughout the year. Often these credit hours will be much cheaper than if the student were to take the course on the college campus and play for books, and tuition. However it is strongly recomended that parents or students check with an admissions officer at the college they are planning to attend to ensure that the credit hours will be accepted.

The college credits are offered from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), which is one of the best technical schools in the nation and is located in New York. To receive college credit, RIT requires a course grade of 80%. Students must receive an average score of 70% or better on portions A and C of the final for the course.
