Mentor Poem

The poem "I Am the House" is a simple poem about a mentor that has helped me build my life. It tells of how my mentor is the backbone of who I am, but how only I may make the decsions and show who I am. It involves several true beliefs. The ironic thing about this poem is that I do not really have a specific mentor I never really had the opportunity of meeting such a person. The mentor in this poem is simply my opinion of what an excelent mentor would be.

Protest Poem

The poem "Blindsided" is a poem about mankinds dependency on natural resources. Specifically oil, it is a poem that attempts to reiterate that oil is used as a tool, and is limited. That one day we will run out. It also tries to warn people that if we do not start detering from or "fix" it will be trouble for the generations to come.

Ballad

This piece of writing is a ballad. This ballad is about a certain character in the movie "Dead Poets Society". This young man is toubled with confusion. This young man goes to an all boys school, of which some of the worlds brightsest men graduate from. This young man wishes to be a writer or actor, but his father has other plans for his son. Upset and unable to speak for himself, the young man goes to the extreme to solve his problem.
