LPS Offers Parents Several Ways to Access Information
Liberty School District offers six different ways parents can choose from to check for inclement weather school days, as well as other important emergency information.
We strongly suggest parents choose at least a couple of the following sources when checking for information.
- Liberty Public Schools Hotline – (816) 736-5330
- Home Page of the District Web Site – http://www.liberty.k12.mo.us
- KLPS – Channel 18
- QuickNews Special Email
- Local Television Stations (Channels 4, 5, 9, 41)
QuickText is our newest option, which will enable text messages to be sent directly to your mobile phone, wireless PDA, or pager. (Please check your cell phone plan for any text messaging fees your wireless provider may charge). Parents must sign up for QuickText, if they choose to participate, by going to www.liberty.k12.mo.us and clicking on the QuickText subscription icon at the bottom of the page. The system is currently not active during this sign-up process.
Due to budgetary constraints, the SchoolReach telephone messaging system, which notified parents/guardians of important emergency information, has been discontinued by the District.
Please note: All telephone numbers of parents and patrons who sign up for QuickText can be disclosed to members of the public that make a formal, written request under the Missouri Sunshine Law.
