LPS honors retiring staff
At a special ceremony held at South Valley Middle School last night, Liberty Public Schools recognized 26 dedicated employees for their service. These individuals will soon be retiring from LPS at the conclusion of the school year.This year’s list includes: Reta Beaty (Physical Therapist/Early Childhood Center), Kathy Breeden (Speech and Theatre/South Valley Junior High), Sandy Byler (Food Service/Lillian Schumacher), Barb Clark (4th grade teacher/Lillian Schumacher), Jo Emig (7th grade Math/Liberty Middle School), Jeannette Hisek (4th grade teacher/Alexander Doniphan), Sally James (7th grade Math/Liberty Junior High), Jan Johnson (PEAK/Challenge Alexander Doniphan), Marianne Kelly (English/South Valley Middle School), Cindy Kenealy (2nd grade teacher/Lillian Schumacher), Mark Matney (Industrial Technology/Liberty High School), Debbie Payne (Art/Liberty High School), Wayne Washburn (Social Studies/Liberty Junior High), Karen Breit (Food Service/Liberty High School), Joyce Cathy (Food Service/Liberty Junior High), Gloria Colter (4th grade teacher/Lewis and Clark), Melvin Cremeen (Custodial Supervisor/Blue Jay Tower), Nancy Draper (Custodian/South Valley Middle School), Max Garrison (English/Liberty Middle School), Vanda Harlan (4th grade teacher/Lewis and Clark), Rita Hertenstein (2nd grade teacher/Franklin), Carol Mansil (SPED paraprofessional/Lewis and Clark), Jo Anna Moore (Custodian/Liberty Junior High), Danny Parks (Custodian/Liberty High School), Peggy Sparks (Guidance Secretary/South Valley Junior High, and Joel Walker (Custodial Supervisor/Liberty Middle School).
