Chemistry and Physics Students take home awards
Liberty Chemistry and Physics Students Take Awards at PSU
On Thursday, April 22, Liberty High School sent chemistry and physics students to the Pittsburg State University campus in Pittsburg, Kansas, to compete in one of the area’s largest science contests. Their teachers are Ms. Mary Coogan, Ms. Rosemary Camp, Ms. Jessica Robinson, Mrs. Kim Scholes, Dr. Lario Yerino, and Dr. Ken Kramme.
Liberty students swept the advanced chemistry competition, taking all of the individual and team awards. First-year chemistry students also took all the individual awards and finished first and third in the team competition. The physics contest is a team-only event and Liberty teams finished first and second.
Twenty of Liberty’s 25 participants received one or more awards.
