REMINDER…PUBLIC INVITED TO ATTEND BOND ISSUE INFORMATIONAL MEETING

If you’re interested in learning more about the 2008 bond issue, you are invited to attend an informational meeting at 7 p.m., Tuesday, January 8, at South Valley Junior High School, 800 MidJay Drive.  The meeting will include an overview of the strategic planning process and information about the upcoming April 8 No-Tax-Increase bond issue.  Information about volunteer opportunities will also be available at the meeting. INCUMBENTS FILE IN SCHOOL BOARD RACE
Three incumbents on the Liberty Board of Education plan to run in the April 8, 2008 election.  Current board members Bren Abbott, Cindy Dunlap and Evan Tripp declared their candidacy on the first day of filing, Wednesday, December 26, 2007. The filing deadline ends January 22, 2008.  The positions are three-year terms. Those interested in running for one of three available seats can file at the Liberty Public School District Administration Center at 650 Conistor. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
