A Letter from Superintendent Mike Brewer

Dear QuickNews Subscriber,

You are receiving this message because you elected to receive QuickNews by email from the Liberty Public Schools.  I am writing to notify you that our school district recently received a request under the Missouri Open Meeting/Records Statutes ("Sunshine Law") from a community member, Ms. Nikki Krueger.  Ms. Krueger formally requested "an electronic copy of all email addresses of QuickNews subscribers."  Because this list is considered to be a public document under the Sunshine Law, we are legally required to provide it to Ms. Krueger.

When our school district created QuickNews, we did so with the intention it would solely be used to update those who chose to receive emails regarding school district events and other official school district information.  We did not intend for QuickNews to be used as a device for non-school district individuals, vendors, or political entities to send you information of their choosing.

Ms. Krueger has stated she is "primarily interested in utilizing QuickNews emails to gain feedback from district parents on the standards based grading system currently being implemented in some Liberty School District classrooms."

Please know that if she chooses to send you emails, you are under no obligation to receive any email from her.  Her emails are not approved by our school district.  Any content is solely attributable to Ms. Krueger.

Should you desire not to receive emails from Ms. Krueger, please feel free to notify her of that fact.  Her contact information is as follows:
