Systematic Training for Effective Parenting-Teen (STEP/Teen)

STEP/Teen is organized into seven classes to fit parents' busy lifestyles. Every family attending will receive a STEP/Teen's handbook for parents, Parenting Teenagers, which guides class content. STEP/Teen not only helps parents with everyday problems such as messy rooms, moods, and meals, it also confronts today's more complex issues-drug use, sex, gangs, and depression. You can register for either session regardless of the high school your child(ren) attend or will attend: Session 1 (held at LHS) Sundays, 6-7 p.m. - October 30; November 6, 13, 20; December 4, 11, 18 Session 2 (held at LNHS) Sundays, 6-7 p.m. - March 25; April 1, 15, 22, 29; May 6, 13. LNHS Golden Girls to Host Dance Clinic

The LNHS Golden Girls dance team is offering a clinic for girls in grades 6-12 on Saturday, March 3, which will teach dance technique (according to appropriate level) and a variety of dance choreography (jazz, pom, and hip hop). Fun + Learning + Free = Parent University

FUN = Mascots, hands on activities, goodie bags full of great stuff! LEARNING = Resource fair, interactive sessions for three age groups (Adults/Teens, Pre-Teens, Youth) FREE = Breakfast, door and raffle prizes, child identification kit with finger prints and photo, and the entire event is free! Parent University is March 10 (8 a.m.-12 noon) and will be hosted at Liberty North High School. Parents/guardians and students in elementary through high school are encouraged to attend. All students must have an updated physical on file with the school district in order to participate in the auditioning process. Rainbow Rally Set for March 3

The Liberty Assembly #31, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls is excited to invite you to our "Rainbow Rally for Girls" to be held Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Girls ages 6 to 19 plus a parent or guardian are invited to attend. This event is intended for the young ladies to be part of our group - our "Sisterhood of friendships. We are devoted to SERVICE and building character + leadership skills. LHS Care Bags for Finals

The Liberty High School Orchestra Boosters are currently taking orders for LHS Care Bags for spring finals week. The care bags are a great way for parents to encourage students during finals. You can also send care bags to teachers or friends. For $5, your student will receive a bag that contains a variety of snacks, some surprises, and a personal note from the purchaser. SVMS 5th Grade Parent Night Information

The annual South Valley Middle School 5th Grade Parent Night will take place Thursday, April 19, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at SVMS. This event is geared towards providing important information to our incoming SVMS parents. This event will cover general information about SVMS, scheduling, daily procedures, activities offered outside the school day, additional transition opportunities, and a tour of the building. We hope you will join us for this event. This is one of many transitional opportunities provided in order to help families with their transition from fifth grade to the middle school. The SVMS staff looks forward to meeting you and sharing all of the great things that take place at SVMS.
