HOMECOMING 2007….. IS OUT OF THIS WORLD
Homecoming week at Liberty High School is “out of this world”! Beginning with dress-up days on Monday, where students could dress to the theme of “See’in Stars”, to Friday’s “Blasting Away the Competition Spirit Day”, where there will be a sea of blue and white throughout the halls of LHS, to getting floats ready for tomorrow’s Homecoming parade through Liberty streets to the square downtown, students have been gearing up for Friday night’s football game against the Blue Springs South Jaguars.
FRIDAY ACTIVITIES
· Pep rally at 10:30 a.m. in the gym at Liberty High School.
· Parade begins at 12:45 p.m. in the high school parking lot, traveling east on Highway 152
(Kansas Street), picking up more parade entries at Liberty Junior High, and ending up on the square in downtown Liberty, where the three Homecoming King and Queen finalists will be announced.
· Grand Marshals for this year’s parade are Sam Houston and Miki Edgerton. Each has served in many activities which have supported student services, scholarship opportunities, and community service and involvement in the Liberty community.
· Friday night’s 7 p.m. football game against Blue Springs South will be played at Greene Stadium on the William Jewell campus. The results of the week’s spirit competitions will be announced at halftime, which is also when the Homecoming Court will be introduced, and the King and Queen announced.
