The Food and Nutrition Services team for the Liberty Public School District represented by a staff of 110+ well trained, dedicated women and men, provide high quality, nutritionally balanced, and affordable breakfast and lunches to more than 10,000 students daily across our district.

The Food and Nutrition Service Department operating as a self-supporting, cost effective business within our district maintains fiscal responsibility to the overall operations. Operating with an annual budget of 4 million dollars, our department continues to expand and grow to meet the needs of the school environment, and expanding services, to meet the needs within our community.

In addition to the National School Lunch and Breakfast programs, our services also include an after school snack program. The Nutrition Services team also provides a summer school feeding program, and an all day feeding program to students attending Kid's Zone. Our catering program, "The Spice of Life", continues to grow and expand its services to meet the needs within the district and the community.

The department's vision is "Fueling For Performance". We recognize that breakfast and lunch are important in contributing to the learning process throughout the school day. Good nutrition is vital to the mental and physical growth of students during the formative years. As such, the food service program continues to operate as an integral part of the total educational program.
