Feeder System
For several years, the Liberty Public School District operated under what is called a feeder system. Feeder patterns designated the schools that students attended as they graduated from one level to the next. In February 2009, the Board of Education voted to move away from a pure feeder system and adopted a geographical or residence-based system. A student's street address or geographical area will determine the schools students will attend.
The current system for Liberty schools utilizes a combination feeder and residence-based system. For example, students that attend South Valley Middle School will automatically attend South Valley Junior High School. Students that attend Liberty Middle School will automatically attend Liberty Junior High School. Students will attend then attend a high school based on their home address.
