The city of Liberty hosts a history related workshop or tour on the first Saturday of each month. In January of 2007 it was a "Get to Know Your Archives" event at the Clay County Archives. About a dozen South Valley Jr High students attended the workshop and learned about how to research family history, access the large digital image library and opportunities to volunteer at the Archives.
