What is KMH: Patriot News

KMH: Patriot News is a student written, filmed, produced, and edited news broadcast about Manor Hill Elementary School located in Liberty, Missouri.  The club is composed of fifth grade students from each of the three classes.  Students applied to become members and meet weekly  in the mornings at 7:15.  Everything on the broadcast is student done.  Below you will find some interesting information about KMH: Patriot News.

Broadcast Information

All broadcast play on Channel 18, the local cable access channel.  Our first broadcast of the 2007-2008 school year will soon be playing on Channel 18.  Channel 18 is also streamed live through the internet.  Click on this link to view Channel 18. 

 

 

Awards: KMH: Patriot News has received several special honors including:

¨ Presented at the Show Me TechKnowledge Day in Jefferson City in 2004, 2007, and 2008.

¨ District Technology Committee Showcase 2000, 2002

¨ Received Learning Enrichment Grant in 2002 to improve our studio.

¨ Covered the Kansas City Comets professional indoor soccer game in 2005.

¨ Received Best Buy Grant of $2500 to purchase additional equipment.

¨ First Place in the Reel Spirit Showcase for Young Filmmakers (News Broadcast Division)
