A P. Biology Course Description
Advanced Placement (A. P. ) Biology is a one-year course designed to prepare the academically strong student for college. The course provides the student with the opportunity to study various disciplines of biology on a collegiate level. Among the topics studied will be biochemistry, molecular genetics, botany, zoology, evolution, physiology, and behavior. For a complete discussion of the course including expectations, click here.
Course Credit
· Students may choose to participate in the University of Missouri-Kansas City High School/College Dual Credit Program. Students must enroll in Biology and Living Lecture and Laboratory courses (BIOL 102 and 102L) for a total of 4 credit hours. Students should contact their prospective universities to see how this credit may meet their needs. For more information, please contact me or visit the program at University of Missouri-Kansas City . · Students may receive advanced biology or elective credit by taking the College Board A. P.® Biology Exam. The exam is given in May at Liberty High School and evaluated by the College Board.
