Your family has just purchased farmland in Kansas to build their own bed and breakfast hotel! The agent who sold you the land explained that the Witting family owned the farm in the late 1800s. As you make your way toward the property, you see an old home in need serious repair and an outline of where an old barn once stood.
When you enter the home, it is as if you’re going back in time. Questions pop in your mind: Who lived in this home? What was life like in the late 1800s and early 1900s? While making your way through the home, you see a box. Inside the box are old letters, a seashell, and a dried flower. The Wittings must have written the letters, Jacob, Sarah, Anna and Caleb must be members of the family who lived in this home!
You figure that there must be clues within the letters and around this home that would help you to understand the Witting family’s life. You decide to do a bit of detective work and to search out information about the home your family is planning to restore. You quickly put together an investigative team. The information that you find may help your family with your plans for the bed and breakfast!
